Hi, I’m Ben. I recently earned an MFA in Three-Dimensional Design from the University of Iowa—a program that represents a crossroads of industrial design, mechanical engineering, and applied arts, all grounded in digital design and prototyping with an emphasis in technical manual processes.

I specialize in designing upholstered furniture and soft goods, with a particular focus in fabrication for outdoor use. The outdoors demand durability and technical precision, and I’m fascinated by the challenge of meeting these strict parameters while bringing a design sensibility that deepens our connection to nature and creates space for the expression of identity.
